Today, we are announcing the general availability of Office 2019 for Windows and Mac. Office 2019 is the next on-premises version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access, and Publisher. Keynote sets the stage for an impressive presentation. Latest Version of Office PowerPoint for Mac and PC. As we know, Office 365 is the latest version of Microsoft Office toolkit in 2019. People can use the applications of Office 365 on their Mac, PC, tablet and mobile phone, such as use the Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications to create or edit document, worksheet and slide. The 2019 Mac PowerPoint, just like all the other PowerPoint versions, is used by the people making presentations every now and then. Whether it is a presentation made in a board meeting, a conference of even in a casual gathering, this PowerPoint application makes things so much easier and saves the energy you could have used to explain most of.
What Is Mac Version Of Powerpoint
Do you use PowerPoint and other Office programs on a Mac? Do you know which version you are using? And if the version question seemed easy, do you know what sort of license you are using? In this post, we will explore an easy way to identify version and license details for Microsoft Office on the Mac.
Microsoft Powerpoint For Mac
We have used PowerPoint for all the screenshots. However, the same process should also work with Word, Excel, and other Office programs. Follow these steps:
- Run PowerPoint. If you see the Presentation Gallery, opt to create a new presentation, or alternatively open any existing presentation. Yes, you do not want to create or edit presentations now—but PowerPoint will not let you identify it under the hood unless you open a presentation first! We just created a new presentation, as shown in Figure 1 below.

- You will see a dialog, as shown in Figure 3, below. Do notice that you can identify that this dialog is from a Retail License product, as highlighted in red. Don't worry; we will explain what these numbers mean at the end of this post.

Again, you can also find the version number of your installed product, as highlighted in blue. Mac write to ntfs free.

Any version number that begins with '15' in the About dialog box indicates that you are running Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac.
Similarly, any version number that begins with '14' indicates that you are running Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 5, below.

No Version 13?
Yes, you are right. The reason there is no version 13 of Microsoft Office for Mac is because thirteen is considered by some as an unlucky number!

Where is PowerPoint 2016?
Are you unable to locate PowerPoint 2016 on your Mac computer?Sometimes, such a question can be embarrassing! Or are there other versions of PowerPoint on your computer—maybe older versions? Yes,we know that this can happen, although it does sound a little strange. However, there are perfectly valid excuses for you to be unableto locate PowerPoint, mainly in scenarios such as these:
- In an office, where system administrators are responsible for programs installed on your computer. They insist that you havePowerPoint on your system, but you cannot find it!
- You bought a new desktop or laptop that came with a license for Microsoft Office.
- Or maybe you just lost the shortcut that used to launch PowerPoint.
Follow these steps to locate PowerPoint:
- Look in your Dock to see if you have an icon for PowerPoint, as shown in Figure 1, below.
Figure 1: PowerPoint 2016 icon in the Dock- You will notice that we have no other 'P' icon in the Dock that brings up an older version of PowerPoint.However, it is possible to have more than one version of PowerPoint installed on your Mac. You can change the default version, asexplained in our Set PowerPoint 2016 for Mac as theDefault Version page.
- If you cannot find the PowerPoint icon on your Dock, the next step is to bring up your Applicationsfolder. To do so, double-click the Macintosh HD or similarly named icon on your desktop to bring upa Finder window, as shown in Figure 2, below. Make sure you select the Applicationsfolder in the sidebar.
Figure 2: Bring up your Applications folder- You should see a PowerPoint icon, as shown in Figure 2 above. If not, try to locatea Microsoft Office folder within the Applications folder. Click this folder, and you may find aPowerPoint icon.
- If you still haven't found PowerPoint, double-click the Macintosh HD or similarly named icon on your desktop to bring upa Finder window, as shown in Figure 3, below. In the Search box, type 'PowerPoint.app' without the quotes. You willnow see PowerPoint listed.

In each of the options explained above, you will have to click or double-click the icon to launch PowerPoint 2016 for Mac, andyou will see the interface.
